Tajikistan in October

September to November is autumn, and the weather warm. The season is perhaps the best time to go to Tajikistan as the heat has died down on the plains, and all but the very highest mountains are still accessible. The markets are overflowing with fresh produce, and the rivers are flowing in full force after the melt of the glaciers. Temperature in Dushanbe are between 11 and 26 °C (52-79 °F) in October, and rainfall is close to zero across the entire country. It is a fine time to see the wilderness, haunting mountains, glacial streams, and the far-reaching steppe in shades of burnt orange.
