Autumn is also a fine time for scuba diving and you are likely to see the turtles of Ras al Jinzas it is their nesting time. The landscape around Salalah at this time is home to a number of migratory bird species, with the cooler temperatures in September making it a perfect month for birding, while the birds are still close to their peak numbers. The autumn harvest is a gourmand’s delight bringing pomegranates, olives, walnuts, and grapes
