Oman in February

Oman, a small country of golden desert and secluded beaches, sits in one of the hottest regions of the world, so even its ‘winter’ is warm. December to February is a great time to visit as temperatures are a little lower than during the sometimes scorching summer, averaging lows of around 20 and highs of 25°C (68-77 °F) in the capital, Muscat, a city which seems to have a beautiful mosque on every street corner. There is rain in January and February, but it is at a minimum, around 30mm, and comes in short sharp snaps so is easy to avoid. February sees the renowned Muscat Festival, a month-long celebration showcasing the country’s ancient culture, history, and art.
