Hong Kong is hot, humid and wet from June to August. Temperatures almost constantly remain between 27 and 32 °C (81-90 °F), and long sleeves are useful in the middle of the day for those prone to sunburn. Early June and it is time for Dragon Boat Festival, the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, when local and visitors take to the water to watch fiercely-competitive international boat races, while snacking on festival foodzongzi, rice dumplings wrapped in bamboo leaves.
