Location: Located 160 miles southwest of Manila, this private paradise is easily accessible, yet still remote and exclusive.
Reputation: Ariara Island has been mentioned for its unparalleled experience, in such world-renowned titles as Harrods Magazine, Harper's Bazaar, The Spectator, and Wine and Dine.
Service: Guests won’t have to lift a finger, should they choose not to, with their own personal chef, as well as a team of personal staff to attend to their every need.
Able to house a maximum of 20 guests, this resort offers the ultimate in exclusivity. There are two room types available: the Beach Cottages and the Jungle Villas, both situated in a premium location in the pristine beach, with stunning views of the addictive tropical sea and coral reefs.
There are four beach cottages available, each with a large bedroom that features a vaulted ceiling, a four-poster bed, and a walk-in wardrobe. The bathroom is luxuriously-appointed, done up in marble, with an open-air shower. Wide verandahs surround the villas, with the addition of ceiling fans to keep the hot weather at bay.
The resort’s Jungle Villas have been built on stilts, and thus provide stunning panoramas of both the surrounding jungle and the beachfront. Inside, there is a master bedroom, featuring a four-poster bed, as well as a dressing room. The bathroom is luxuriously-appointed, done up in marble, with walk-in shower. The villas feature spacious, shaded terraces with hanging loungers.
The resort’s expansive infinity pool, located directly in front of the lodge, at the end of the pier, looks out over the beach. Its spacious sun deck is populated with comfortable sun loungers and bean bag chairs, complete with sun umbrellas.
What better activity to undertake on one’s own private paradise island than those that are water-based? The resort has its own jet skis, available for guests’ use, as well as snorkel gear, high quality fishing tackle, and a 33-foot speedboat.
Of course, guests may choose to dine outside of The Dining Room, should they so desire. Private dining experiences can be arranged in the form of a moonlit beach picnic, or a more social beach party BBQ, with the traditional Filipino Lechon (spit-roast pig).
The Pier Cabana, perched over the reef, serves up a selection of tantalizing cocktails to guests lounging in supple beanbags.
This substantial, well-appointed structure enjoys a central position at the end of the pier, and has been designed for guests' pleasure. The dining hall and lounge feature majestic glass doors which can be opened for an al fresco feel and a better view of the picturesque surroundings. There is also a viewing gallery, shaded terrace, and games area for guests to congregate in.
